At almost 8 months Lizzie is still 53 cm, she hasn't grewn since she was 6 months old.
She has learnt that sitting is a good way to get rewarded, now she sits as soon as she wants something. For food, for toys, for fun. She has finally got to the point where she sit on command, even with no goodies in sight.

First signs of indepence, she no longer automatically turn up at my feet when it is evident I am going to put a collar on her and the time for running free is over for now. She tries to run around me in circles; "catch me if you can", but compared to the Borzoi I've had, Lizzie is real easy to reel in. She is also much too curious to stay away for long.

She may race around and get quite a distance away from me, but never far enough to loose eye contact. It's very easy to walk in the forrest with her, even off leash, she never runs away.

A couple of weeks ago was the first time I saw Lizzie being able to outrun her mother, but then Omni never was very fast. She is small and used to be outrun by the bigger sighthounds and use brains to outstmart them instead.
